About Us

Hatchbag, Inc. has enjoyed 16 years of building our business from humble beginnings. Starting out in a tenth floor office without warehouse space, we began creating software specific to our business. We attended trade shows for the automotive aftermarket industry as well as the sportsman enthusiast. Our goal was to find a niche for our product inside the American economy.

Our premier product was the Original Hatchbag. You may say, "what's a Hatchbag?" Well, it's a cargo area liner (and the name of our company). The Original Hatchbag cargo area liner was first manufactured and sold in Great Britain for small sedans and wagons and the smaller SUVs. The English called it the Boot Liner. Boot meaning, in our language, the trunk of a vehicle.

We soon found that the American market and the British market were quiet different. But we were up for the challenge. With four employees, no manufacturer or warehouse for inventory we began a journey that has brought us to our present location in Midland, NC. We have two factories in North Carolina that make our products. The number of patterns we have for our cargo area liner is around 250. Every time the vehicle manufacturers introduce a new vehicle we are inside creating a pattern. Our product line has grown from the Original Hatchbag cargo area liner to other products that "Take the Hassle out of Hauling".

Hatchbag, Inc. has found that the people who buy our type of products are some of the nicest people on earth. That's because they are pet lovers, gardeners, handymen, and outdoor enthusiasts. And of course they love their vehicles.
